What time is it?

September 16, 2015

Life at the Villa is laidback. We don’t wear watches and very often don’t care what time it is. Except when it’s time for the Boy and the Girl to go to bed 🙂

However being the type of personality I am, I still every once in a while do want to know what time it is, especially in the summer when it’s sunny all day and night long (well, that was not the case this summer, but you know what I mean…). We haven’t been actively looking for a clock for the living room, but recently the Other Half went on a business trip and brought me back a souvenir:

Clock 2

Yes, a clock! Now there’s no excuse for not knowing the time as the clock is right there, easy to see! And as it’s not the smallest clock (actually just the perfect size in my opinion), no one needs to squint to see it. Here’s another look just to give you more of an idea of the size:

When we took the clock to the Villa it turned into a bit of a weekend of musical ornaments… We have at the moment two side tables in the living room and have been planning (for the last two years) to buy a sideboard for more storage, as well as more space to display items. We have some mementos we like to display, but at the moment it’s a bit too many for just the side tables. Thus this is the set-up we ended up with for the time being, plus made a firm decision to buy a sideboard before Christmas… Now we just need to find one we like (as we’ve already been looking for two years…)! Hopefully we find one soon and I can share it with you.

Here’s still one more look at our new clock:
