DIY rustic vanity unit with countertop washbasin

March 17, 2013

What would the world be if everybody has the same bathroom furniture? Boring, yes! So, I’m building my own. And here are the ingredients:

Take three left over pieces of logs, 6cm thick (the center pieces which weren’t used for the playhouse) and glue them together:

Sand it and round the edges:

Add three 50 cm wide IKEA Faktum cabinets to it:

Completed with three rustic doors from Bauhaus (which had to be shortened by 6 cm to fit in length):

Buy an IDO Wave washbasin to it at 30% discount this weekend at K-Rauta:

Order a nice Linea Classic faucet from Germany:

And you got yourself a nice 150 cm wide vanity unit!

Well, I got the parts now. I’ll show you how they fit together another time.
