Rustic clothing cabinet

Our clothing cabinet for the entryway is kind of ready…

After painting the outside twice with white Osmo wax-color and the inside once, the beauty of wood is still coming through and it got the right cottagy feel to it.

I also tailored the inside for our needs. I added a half-deep shoe shelf allowing for more shoes to find a home and built a additional hat shelf to make use of the high space. For the kids I added a clothing bar. The handles are IKEA Smiid handles which are unfortunately gone out of production and we managed to get some 10 pieces in the Tampere Ikea in the spring. Last but not least I glued a mirror on the inside of the center door. Even that the cabinet goes to the cottage where one doesn’t bother that much about looks, it’s nice to check oneself out before one goes shopping to the village.

With this one ready for transportation the next cabinet can come…
