Playhouse: Part 10

July 14, 2012
by

Today for the 10th and last day of work on the playhouse. On today’s backlog were the internal fixtures and the oven.

The oven is made from MDF plywood and some other stuff I had flying around in various places at home and at the countryside. After half a day the whole thing looks rather presentable. Not as neatly done as a Brio or Ikea oven but certainly with a lot of playhouse-feel to it.

I also attached the necessary shelves for the  kiosk play.

Day 10 completes this year’s new building at the countryside. I really have to stop with this tradition.

2008: The Lighthouse aka the outhouse (and the shed)

2009: The guest cabin and the beach sauna

2010: The Treehouse

2011: Villa Linnea

And now I can start phase 2 of the 2012 summer vacation. Whatever that is. To be discovered…

    Hi Peter,
we have very similar “5 year” project going, where we are hoping to finish sauna/guest house this fall. I just found your blog, and wanted to thank you for taking the time to write your experiences down. Your villa looks amazing, and you are soooo much closer to your dream than us! Best of luck for the rest of the project.
    Petri
