Work camp – Day 4

What does the builder do when your knees are hurting? He changes task and works on something ahead of him. so I started with building the ceiling structure of the bedroom. Villa Linnea has a couple of odd places in regards to roof structures. One of them is in the bedroom where one quarter is under the roof running around the covered terraces. To put insulation there, one either waits until one pumps the insulation material there or one lifts the insulation (a whoopy 50 cm) in there from below. Doable but insane. First I had to attach the wind shielding board under the roof beams and then build the frame structure that holds the insulation.

As insulation material I’m using like in the floors Knauf glaswool K35. That stuff is new and I have found it only from Bauhaus but it is some 20 percent cheaper than the Isover stuff and works just as well.
